Product Review: Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. The greatest lip balm of all time! Oh yes, I sincerely believe that. I have been using this lip balm for more or less 10 years now. Nothing beats it! I, for one, am a lip balm addict. I bought different brands in the past, from the cheap ones, to the overly priced ones, and I still was not content. There was a time when I was a Burt’s Bees user already but I still bought other brands of lip balms, just in case they are better than what I have been carrying around for the longest time. But you see, nothing compares to my ever favorite Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. There was a time when I have hoarded the latter. I bought a pack of 8, if I am not mistaken. It felt like I was in lip balm-heaven (if there is such thing as that), hahaha!:) The way it glides on to my lips, the way it gives moisture to my lips, or when you feel the smoothness of the product upon touching it (that is if you have bought the one in the tin can) and the minty feel it gives (literally icy cold or minty or however you want to describe it)–that is what makes it extraordinary. It does give your lips the soothing feeling they truly deserve. This natural lip balm is loaded with coconut and sunflower oils, rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, to nourish, condition and soften lips. The beeswax seals in hydration. They have also added peppermint oil for a refreshing tingle. I truly believe in its claims. You can really feel that the ingredients are all natural when using one. It does work magically! I only found my contentment in Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. You should try one! Available in all Beauty Bar outlets in the Philippines, or Sephora in Singapore and all drugstores in the States. Take your pick of an old-fashioned yellow tin or a recycled plastic tube. Enjoy!=) ***I am sure that once you have tried it, you cannot find yourself wanting a different lip balm.:)

Red Japanese Bike

When I was young, like 7 years young or a little over that.. I loved playing with my friends outside, running or playing hide and seek. It was always fun. I have a lot of girly toys as well, like dolls especially Barbie dolls. On the contrary, since I also love being outside the house, I grew up loving my Red Japanese bike.

It was a very beautiful shade of red and it felt heavy for my size at that time because I was pretty thin and tiny back then. What made it more special was the fact that that beautiful Red Japanese bike of mine is actually my Lolo Odong’s (grandfather) gift. I guess it was shipped from Cebu to Manila. It had to be because we used to live far from my grandparents. It was such a beautiful gift from my Lolo and Lola. I loved that bike! In all fairness, we, the grandchildren, were all given bikes by our grandparents, just different shades.

I can still remember how I learned to ride the bike. Honeslty, I couldn’t recall ever having training wheels in the beginning. I guess I was a Pro. And I’m damn proud of myself! Since my brother had the “boys bike”, his was a BMX, I wanted to race him or show off that I could ride the bike the way he did. And I proved them that I can! I wasn’t just the little thin girl but I’m also hard core. That’s whats probably in my head at that time! I can be like my Kuya. Wow! Until my Dad caught me bruised after biking outside, from that time on my biking dream was over! Haha

I miss riding the bike. That’s why I decided to write on my blog. Because tomorrow, I will buy a bike! After many years being bike-less, I will get to ride a bike, again. I bet it will be exciting and fun!
